The spirit of patriotism filled the air as students came together to celebrate Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Melodious patriotic songs and lively dance performances made the event truly memorable and inspiring. Despite being their first time on stage, they surprised the audience with confident and captivating performances.
Ganesh Chaturthi – August 27, 2025
Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great devotion and joy. Students and teachers came together to make beautiful eco-friendly Ganesh idols with their own hands, adding a special personal touch to the festival. The celebration was filled with devotion as students sang soulful Ganesha songs. Prasadam was distributed to everyone, spreading the spirit of sharing and togetherness. The day was a wonderful blend of creativity, culture, and devotion.
Onam Celebration – September 4, 2025
Onam was celebrated with great spirit and happiness. Children and teachers came together to create a beautiful pookalam, adding colour and festivity to the occasion. The story of Onam was shared, helping students understand the significance of the festival.
Navarathri Celebrations- September 27, 2025
Navarathri was celebrated with devotion and joy. Students participated enthusiastically, singing slogans, performing dances, and listening to stories about the festival’s significance. They took blessings from the deities, making the celebration a colorful and memorable experience.
Vijayadasami Admissions – October 2, 2025
A day filled with new beginnings and joyful learning!
The inaugural pooja of the new wing for Pre-KG students marked an important milestone for the school. The little Pre-KG stars participated in the sacred Vidyarambham ceremony, symbolizing the beautiful beginning of their learning journey. The day was further enriched by a fruitful Parent Orientation session, which strengthened the bond between parents and the school, paving the way for collaborative growth.
Diwali celebrations, October 17, 2025
The Diwali celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm and joy. Students brought Diwali sweets and savouries from home, and the ingredients used in them were explained along with their health benefits, making the activity both festive and educational. A rangoli activity based on patterns was given to the students, helping them understand the concept of mathematical patterns in a fun and creative way. The students participated actively and thoroughly enjoyed the festive learning experience.

Children’s Day celebration was a vibrant and joyous extravaganza! The event featured a variety of cultural programs, showcasing the talents of students through music, dance, and drama. In addition to the performances, students participated in fun and engaging games that fostered teamwork, creativity, and healthy competition. The celebration was a memorable occasion, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone and highlighting the spirit of joy and togetherness.
Christmas Celebrations, December 25, 2025
Our school joyously celebrated Christmas, filling the atmosphere with festive cheer. Students spread holiday joy, dressed as Santa Claus and angels, while showcasing their talents through freestyle dance performances. The event was further enhanced by the melodious singing of our teachers, making it a truly memorable occasion. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Sophia Chelladurai, spoke about the importance of Christmas and its message of love, kindness, and sharing.
PONGAL CELEBRATION, January 13, 2026:
Our school’s Pongal festivities commenced with a vibrant kolam competition, setting the tone for a joyous celebration. Each environment was assigned a designated space where pairs of teachers collaborated to create intricate kolam designs, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. The colourful patterns transformed the surroundings into a lively spectacle, truly reflecting the spirit of Pongal. The event marked the beginning of a memorable celebration rooted in tradition and enthusiasm. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of our esteemed guests, Mr. Singaram, Chairman of Akshaya Trust Educational Committee, and Mrs. Vasugi Singaram, whose participation added to the festive ambience.
Mrs. Vasugi Singaram inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the ceremonial Pongal fire, marking the beginning of the traditional festivities. Following the departure of the students, the teachers engaged wholeheartedly in the celebrations. Traditional games such as Uriyadi and tug-of-war were conducted, followed by a lively Kummi dance performance that highlighted the staff’s enthusiasm and hidden talents. The celebrations continued with a bullock cart ride around the campus, filled with joy and laughter. The event concluded with an energetic free-style dance, leaving everyone with fond and lasting memories of a delightful Pongal celebration.
Annual Day Celebration: A Grand Showcase of Talent and Excellence, March 28, 2026
The Annual Day Celebration of our school was a spectacular and memorable event, filled with joy, pride, and vibrant performances. It was a grand occasion that brought together students, teachers, and distinguished guests to celebrate the achievements and talents of our young learners.
The Annual Day celebration commenced on a graceful and inspiring note with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Umamaheswari. She warmly greeted the Chief Guests, parents, teachers, and students, setting a positive and celebratory tone for the entire event. In her speech, she provided a comprehensive overview of the school’s vision and mission statements and explained how the Montessori method encourages children to learn through exploration, creativity, and independence. She appealed to parents to nurture intrinsic motivation over extrinsic motivation. Her address gave the audience a clear understanding of how the school nurtures young minds not only academically but also emotionally and socially.

Following the welcome address, Mr. Gopalan formally honored the Chief Guests. With great respect and gratitude, he presented them with mementos as a token of appreciation for their presence.

Mr. Muralidharan, Founder of Sevalaya. He spoke on Sevalaya’s initiatives in education, social welfare, and goshala maintenance, emphasizing kindness and service. His simple yet powerful words inspired students and teachers alike.
Vibrant Cultural Performances
After the formal speeches, the atmosphere became lively and energetic with a series of cultural performances by the students. The stage was filled with enthusiasm as children showcased their talents through dance, music, and creative acts. Each performance reflected the hard work, practice, and dedication of the students. Their confidence and energy captivated the audience, earning loud applause and appreciation. The cultural events not only entertained but also highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in building confidence and creativity among students. It was truly a joyful and memorable segment of the celebration.
As part of the cultural theme Incredible India, UKG students dressed up as national and state symbols. They performed dances representing these symbols and delivered short speeches. Other students showcased India’s diversity by representing states such as Gujarat, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Through dance, they highlighted the unique symbols and cultural styles of each state. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Devaki. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chief Guests for gracing the occasion, as well as to the management, teachers, parents, and students for their support and contribution.
